Metaphor in the modern view, contrary to the traditional view that considered it dependent on language and occurring at the level of words, was proposed as the fundamental core of cognitive semantics, and after the presentation of the theory of conceptual metaphor by Likoff and Johnson, it found a broader meaning. According to them, in metaphor, we express one conceptual realm based on another conceptual realm. In other words, we establish a different concept between two realms through mapping. The linguists analyze the patterns in the conceptual structure of metaphorical words and expressions as evidence for the existence of mental conceptual metaphors. The present article seeks to find conceptual metaphors in the verses of the Holy Quran related to "weight and measurement" based on the approach of Likaf and Johnson. The purpose of this research is to answer the question of what role the conceptual metaphor plays in the depiction of the words "kiel", "mizan" and "qistas"? The current research is based on descriptive-analytical method and cognitive linguistics approach. The results of the matching of the destination areas with the origin indicate that the abstract and intangible concepts in the verses related to weight and measurement have become more tangible to the audience through names such as justice, order and harmony in the system of creation, action, and justice.
