چکیده
نزد رئالیستها هدف علم، جستوجوی نظریههایی است که توصیف- تقریباً- صادقی از جهان پیرامون ما ارائه کنند. اما صحبت از صدق نظریههای علمی، همواره با دشواریهایی روبهروست. در مقالۀ حاضر با یاری آموزههای منتج از نظریۀ صدق تارسکی توضیح میدهیم به چه معنا میتوان از صدق نظریههای علمی و نسبت آنها با واقعیت سخن گفت. پیشنهاد مقاله این است که نظریۀ معناشناختی تارسکی دربارۀ صدق در کنار رویکرد غیرموجهگرایانۀ عقلانیت نقاد در معرفتشناسی میتواند تصویر روشنتری از صدق نظریهها و استخراج نتایج هستیشناختی از آنها ارائه دهد که مشکلات سابق را برای رئالیستها نداشته باشد.
